Heart Of The Matter

Often times we overthink our salvation. Fighting between having faith and having works...good and evil! We've heard of many of the greats from the Bible (David, Paul, Joseph, Moses, Samuel, Solomon, Etc.). We've heard of all of the things we shouldn't be doing. We've heard the commandments and more BUT what are the relevant pieces for today? What do we need to be doing TODAY that will secure our salvation?

Surprisingly, it is rather simple. While we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the heart of the matter of salvation...of Christianity... is to Love, Obey, and Fear God...above all things and above all others. Loving and Fearing God beyond yourself, your loved ones, and your possessions is obedience to God. In your obedience to GOD, not only is every NEED met but every DESIRE is granted. Therefore, I encourage us all to get back to the Heart of the Matter and purify our faith through our willingness to believe, to love, to fear, and obey the one true God through the power of Jesus Christ our Savior.

We don't have to jump up and down, turn around 3 times, scream yes...or yell amen to be saved nor to praise our father. Salvation is not earned and it cannot be purchased. Salvation is a gift from God...as grace and faith is. A pure heart and a proper fear towards our Father in heaven, is salvation in its simplest form. Are you truly saved or are you still going through the motions of trying to be saved? Get back to the heart of the matter that you may be able to go boldly before the throne of God through Jesus Christ confident that you will receive life and receive it more abundantly...eternally.
